Application process

If you believe that you have the talent, drive and ambition for a career within Northern Ireland Electricity (NIE), we look forward to hearing from you.

We have a five step selection process:

1. Criteria page

It is important for us to attract the correct calibre of applicants so we set essential criteria which are unique to each job we advertise. This gives you the opportunity to demonstrate how you meet each of the criteria required for the role and prove to us that you are the right candidate.

2. Prepare your application

If you feel you meet the essential criteria and can bring real added value to our company then waste no time in applying. To do so either download our online application form or contact us to request an application form.

3. Short listing

Once we receive your application form, you will be considered with all other applications forms received. We will determine whether you meet the essential criteria required for the role and will contact you to advise you of the outcome.

4. The interview

We use competency based interviews as the mechanism to see if you meet all the essential qualities. Your interview is the perfect opportunity for you to really sell yourself. We love to hear about the achievements and challenges you have faced and how you overcame these. We feel this will show your true character and will help us determine if you’re right for us. 5. The decision

Following the interview, you will be contacted by a member of our Human Resources team, to let you know the decision of the recruitment process.
