Large scale application fees

A Generation Connection Application is a full technical appraisal and requires you to submit to NIE a formal application including a generator questionnaire [94kB Word] and a full electrical technical specification of the generator being connected together with the appropriate non-refundable fee and a copy of your planning permission in PDF format.

Generation capacity costs

£ 7,500 - Greater than 2 MW
£ 23,000 - Additional fee for 5MW
£ 33,000 - 20 MW Additional fee for above 20 MW

Please note

All payments are inclusive of VAT at the current tax point rate of 20%.
Cheques should be made payable to Northern Ireland Electricity Limted.
Following the receipt of all information and payment, the connection study takes approximately three months to complete.
This quotation is valid for three months from the date of issue and the developer should forward their acceptance of terms and deposit to NIE within this 90 day period.
