Reading keypad meters

Around 280,000 meters in Northern Ireland are keypads or pay-as-you-go meters. This type of meter allows households to pay for their electricity as they use it.

From May 2011 our meter reading routes have been extended to include homes with keypad meters.

This change enabled us to update IT systems with accurate meter readings. Having meter reads for all keypad meters will enable customers to switch electricity suppliers if they wish.
