 Interconnector    Proposed Route
EU
Project co-financed by the European Union from the trans-European transport budget

The interconnector route is planned to run from Moy in South-East Tyrone to the Armagh-Monaghan border.

Following a series of public consultations in Armagh and Tyrone over the last two years involving householders, political representatives, businesses and landowners along a 2 kilometre wide corridor, Northern Ireland Electricity has refined the proposed route of the 400KV power line. This has taken into account residential properties and schools, archaeological sites, land type, physical and built features and planning applications.

In order to minimise the visual impact of the line, it is suggested that a new smaller style of pylon is used.
