This website has been set up to facilitate customers within Northern Ireland to register the installation of an embedded generator or grid connected renewable energy project with Northern Ireland Electricity plc.
Once registered you will be able to access the necessary application forms, obtain information on the connection process and monitor the progress of your application.
Before registering a grid connected renewable energy project, NIE would recommend that you complete a technical and feasibility study and have an installer appointed to provide the technical information for your application.
Independent advice and information relating to renewable technologies, including a list of installers, indicative costs for projects and grants can be obtained from Action Renewables website or by telephoning their office on Freephone 0808 141 2020.
