Crumlin Butchers the Business

10/07/2007

Donnelly Family Butchers in Crumlin is the latest winner of Northern Ireland Electricity’s recent direct debit promotion.

NIE’s Business Support Manager Alison Moore recently visited the Crumlin butcher to present owner Brendan Donnelly with his prize. Alison explained that all NIE customers who had switched to paying by direct debit recently were entered into a free draw to win the luxury summer hamper.

Alison said: “Brendan is saving 4% off all his bills by paying by direct debit. You may not think 4% sounds like much but it is the same as getting two weeks worth of free electricity every year. Brendan has only recently opened his butchers in Crumlin and on behalf of NIE, I would like to wish him the very best of luck in his new venture”

The summer hamper is the latest prize awarded by NIE to businesses and householders who sign up to pay their NIE bill by direct debit.

Brendan Donnelly from Donnelly Family Butchers added: “It is a pleasant surprise to win this hamper. The benefit of direct debit is simply the convenience it brings to the business. Thanks to NIE for giving me this hamper and giving me a great discount off my bills.”

All NIE Business Energy customers get 4% discount when they pay their electricity bill by direct debit. On average, the saving will pay for two weeks worth of electricity every year. Monthly-billed NIE business customers get 3% discount.

Householders who choose to pay their NIE bill by monthly direct debit get up to £28 a year off electricity bills, that’s 4% discount. Monthly direct debit enables householders to spread the cost of their electricity over the course of the year, taking into consideration possible seasonal changes in usage. Customers will know how much is due to go out of their account as a monthly amount is set, giving customers more control.

If householders prefer to pay the actual NIE bill amount, customers can pay by quarterly direct debit saving up to £18 per year, 2.5% off bills. NIE’s direct debit means convenient payments with discount off future bills. You will continue to get a statement from NIE, so you know the details of electricity usage.
