Paying for your electricity

Bills are due for payment within 14 days of issue. We try to make paying them as easy as possible and offer a range of payment options to suit all household sizes and budgets. You get discount if you pay by Direct Debit or with a ‘Pay-as-you-go’ Keypad meter - see below.

Direct debit
You can pay an agreed amount each month and get 4% discount off your bills saving up to £28 a year (£7 a quarter). If you prefer you can pay the full amount of the bill each quarter and get 2.5% discount saving up to £18 a year (£4.50 a quarter). ‘Sign-up’ today by calling 08457 455 with your bank details – no forms, no fuss. Most banks no longer charge a set-up fee for Direct Debit.
Pay-as-you-go Keypad meter
Similar to buying ‘top-ups’ for a mobile phone Keypad meters are ideal for those who prefer to budget weekly or who live in shared accommodation. Keypad customers get 2.5% discount off the standard rate and you can buy ‘top-ups’ from many local corner stores or over the telephone 24 hours a day by calling 08457 455 455.

At a Bank
Bank of Ireland do not charge for this service, however other banks may. Please remember to bring your complete bill with you.
At a Post Office
Please take the complete bill and your payment to any Post Office. Cheques should be made payable to Post Office Counters Ltd.
At a PayPoint Outlet
There are over 450 PayPoint outlets throughout Northern Ireland. Please take your complete bill and your payment with you. Only cash payments can be accepted.
At a PayZONE Outlet
PayZONE have over 800 outlets throughout Northern Ireland. Please take your complete bill and your payment with you. Only cash payments can be accepted.
