NIE collects information through this web site from you in three ways:

If you choose to contact NIE by email, your details will be used only for the purposes for which you intended. When your email has been actioned, the original message will be retained by NIE for a reasonable period of time.

Technical details of your visit to this web site may be recorded for business reasons. None of this information can be used to ascertain your identity. Types of information collected
We retain two types of information:

The personal data you provide to us may be used for the purposes of processing meter reading details submitted by you; responding to your communications such as complaints, critical care registrations and generation connection registrations; or sending you an NIE newsletter if you have confirmed a subscription to our mailing list.
